Fund Match: Korea Equity

Military dispute between North and South Korea fortunately did not put much pressure on both economical and political sense. South Korea stock market recorded a new high in 2010. Economic growth from the central bank was revised up. Korea Equity funds also posted quite a good result this year.

A sudden attack by North Korea at a South Korean island near disputed western maritime border on late November threatened the military stability in North Asia. Worries spread worldwide. Fortunately, there was no significant impact economically. And there was no cue showing the dispute was worsened. South Korea KOSPI even reached 2000 points level recently.

 

Moreover, the upward revision of the forecast of economic growth of 2010 by the central bank of South Korea also showed the country’s strong fundamentals. This week we have two Korea Equity Funds, JF Korea Fund and MiraeAsset Korea Equity Fund, on stage.
