The Morningstar Fund Awards is Morningstar’s flagship program to reward excellence in fund management across the globe. The results announcement dates of 8 Asian markets this year is set forth below.
Statement of Purpose
The Morningstar Awards are designed to help investors around the world identify the year's most exceptional funds and fund managers. Awards are announced throughout the year at ceremonies across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America, honoring managers that have added the most value for investors.
Types of Award
The presentation ceremony of the Morningstar Hong Kong Awards 2015 will be held on March 13, 2015. Just as last year, there will be two types of awards: Morningstar Fund Awards and Morningstar Fund House Awards.
The Morningstar Fund Awards will award 11 categories: seven categories in Equity, and four categories in Fixed Income.

Morningstar Best Equity Fund House Award
Morningstar Best Fixed-Interest Fund House Award
Morningstar Best MPF Scheme Award willrecognize the MPF scheme which excels in a combination of quantitative and qualitative factors.
Award Selection
Morningstar Fund Awards
These awards are given to the funds with the best risk-adjusted performance within their Morningstar Categories or groupings of Morningstar Categories, subject to qualitative review.
Morningstar Fund House Awards
These awards are given to the fund groups with the strongest performing fund line-ups on a risk adjusted basis. Fund performance is evaluated within the Morningstar Categories.
Morningstar Best MPF Scheme Award
The award recognizes the MPF scheme which excels in qualitative factors including product diversity, transparency and disclosure, and investor experience, as well as the delivery of the best average risk-adjusted performance across its offerings.
